Out on The Fens

Check out my ride on Strava: https://strava.app.link/4pLrJHYL65b plan for today is just an easy one through Peterborough on the cycleways still amazes me just how many there are they go absolutely everywhere really forward thinking still back to the ride alongside the River Nene over the Millennium Bridge and on to The Fens flat as a fart for miles and miles on end not a hedgerow either just wind lovely when it's on your back but brutal when it's not stopped off at Thorney Abbey for a quick look see then back at it energy sapping wind from now on with cross and headwinds and you can't take your eyes off these raised exposed roads cracks everywhere sometimes big enough to get your wheels in them and that would be fatal not so many villages today just the windswept barren flatlands even had to wait for 10-15 minutes at an East Coast Main Line level crossing with trains thundering by for the signalman to come out to open the gates

Just The Dragons Teeth for Today

Check out my ride on Strava: https://strava.app.link/pNaginrU12b another road bike day for today still waiting for the freewheel for the gravel bike so it's a nippy/windy morning outbound over Sedgley Beacon, Pennsnett, Wall Heath, Greensforge past the derelict windmill and back towards Swindon ten minutes or so by the canal watching the narrow boat go by then it's time to head back via Himley and back over the Beacon warmed up a bit but the wind didn't drop and in my face all the way back
