Pattingham Scarecrow Festival, broken rear hanger/spokes and the prospect of a long walk home 😭

Check out my ride on Strava: https://strava.app.link/pmZ3Yzbe2Wb back out on the road bike nippy start so 3/4 bibs on but by the end wishing I'd have stuck with shorts still nevermind over Sedgley Beacon, Bratch lock, Tinkers Castle, Claverly and Pattingham it's the scarecrow festival so a mill around lock at some people really try hard some cracking exhibits gromit, then it's time to head back via Codsall, Bilbrook, Bushbury and then it all went wrong just as I was going up a hill towards Northcote changed gear chain got stuck somehow and the rear hanger snapped mech through the back wheel breaking spokes to thought about making it single speed but with the broken spokes would have buggered up the rear wheel so took the chain off and zip tied it started to walk but managed to arrange a lift so coffee and toasted teacakes at Northycote farm while I wait, have to take a visit to the bike hospital on Tuesday 😞

Check out my activity on Strava: https://strava.app.link/iud1SZq0PXb back out again today usual circuit into Brum via the Metro Cycleway Sandwell Valley and Tame Valley Canal little detour to the Black Sabbath Bridge ten minutes break by the Sealife Centre before heading back taking in Telfords Main Line a bit of Brindleys Contour Canal tunneling under the Canal and Railway through Sheepwash and home via The Walsall Canal came across the man who practices the Sax 🎷 who I haven't seen for a while he's definitely not got any better see strava for the video

Check out my ride on Strava: https://strava.app.link/x5f4BOrGbYb finally over the lurgy so out on the road bike might see a bit of light drizzle according to the forecast which they definitely got wrong as it chucked down well at least the bike got a wash, out through Short Heath, Shareshill, Little/Great Saredon ten minutes break at the pond by the A5 returning via Four Ashes, up Bognop-Huff-N-Puff Essington and Willenhall absolutely soaked by the end and they're all out today practicing there lack of driving skills in the wet basically poor
